Stainless steel floats are ideal for use in water or corrosive liquids at higher pressures and correspondingly high temperatures. The high strength of stainless steel provides an extremely versatile and durable float. We offer a variety of diameters and wall thicknesses to meet your needs.

 

All spherical or oval floats are made by welding two shells together. The welding process is critical to the strength and durability of the float. Bright developed a weld that provides a smooth seam that is virtually indistinguishable from the rest of the float surface. Welds are uniform in strength and ductile.

 

Bright stainless steel floats have become standard equipment wherever strength, minimal corrosion, and maximum buoyancy are required. Stainless steel floats offer high strength at temperatures up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit (427 degrees Celsius), while the relatively light wall thickness allows for the production of strong floats with increased buoyancy. The more popular bright stainless steel floats are made of type 304 or 316 stainless steel; however, other types are also available.
