Material properties:

(1)Nitrile rubber O-ringAlso known as NBR O-rings and nitrile O-rings, it is the most widely used O-ring material in the world because of its low cost, good mechanical properties, resistance to water, most base oils, lubricants and some fuels, and many pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and the default choice for basic applications.Buna-N O-rings offer good wear resistance, tensile strength and resistance to compression set.

Due to its excellent resistance to petroleum products and its ability to be compounded over a temperature range of -35°C to +120°C (-30°F to +250°F), nitrile rubber/NBR is the most Widely used rubber. Today's seal industry uses elastomers. Additionally, many military rubber specifications for fuel- and oil-resistant O-rings require nitrile compounds.

(5)Hydrogenated nitrile(HNBR) O-ring, also known asHighly saturated nitrile rubber(HSN), made from a synthetic polymer obtained by saturating the double bonds in the nitrile=butadiene segment with hydrogen. This special hydrogenation process reduces many double bonds in the NBR polymer backbone.

HNBR O-rings and seals offer comparable resistance to aggressive chemical media as NBR seals, but with the added benefit of enhanced stability when exposed to heat and oxidation. It is also very durable and has higher wear resistance.HNBR seals are widely used in applications with continuous exposure to fuels, oils and corrosive chemicals at high temperatures. The advantage of HNBR seals is their elasticity and ability to maintain their physical and mechanical properties throughout their service life.
