What are Titanium Damascus Rods?
timascus stick(Mokuti) consists of secondary or tertiary titanium alloys (typically pure titanium alloys and Ti6Al4V).Titanium DamascusIt is made of different grades of titanium alloys by hot pressing, forging, welding and forging. By using different titanium alloy colorshotorAnodizing. Each titanium alloy has the possibility to produce new colors. Because only the general direction and number of layers of the pattern can be controlled during processing. Every Timascus stick is unique.
How do Timascus rods heat anodize for coloring?
Before we start heat tinting, you will need tools sandpaper, polisher, torch (propane flame)
* Polish your Timascus rod to the final desired finish to a mirror finish (the polished finish will be brighter in color)
* Clean with alcohol to remove any polish grease residue. Wash with water and dry with a lint-free cloth.
* Heat slowly with a medium speed burning flame, keeping the Timascus rod rotating at a constant speed, the heat is distributed through the Titanium Damascus rod, it is important to remove the heat every few seconds so as not to overheat the desired surface.
* When you get the color you want, take off the flashlight. It goes from bronze to gold to blue to purple.
