What is expanding mortar?

Expansive mortar non-explosive demolition agent is a non-toxic cementitious powder composed of calcined oxides of calcium, silicon and aluminum. The expansion mortar has an astonishing expansion pressure of up to 11,200 tons/square meter when mixed with water. Marble, granite, limestone, plain concrete, reinforced concrete, boulders and ledges shatter overnight with no noise, vibration or flying rocks. Especially, when used in environments where explosives are restricted or where the use of explosives is not permitted.

How does expanding mortar work?

It develops a high expansion capacity at a constant volume of over 122 Mpa (11200 T/M2), enough to break down any material to be cut or demolished. The tensile strength of most rocks is less than 5-25 Mpa (500-2500 T/m2 50-250 kg/cm2), reinforced concrete is at 3-5 Mpa (30-50 kg/cm2, 300-500 T/m2) .
