DIN 1.2746 heat treatment |
soft annealing Heat to 610-850°C and cool slowly in the furnace. This will yield a maximum Brinell hardness of 295. relieve pressure Processing stress should be relieved by heating to approximately 650°C and holding in the heated state for 1-2 hours, followed by air cooling. Do this to reduce distortion during heat treatment. hardening Hardening starts at 880-910°C, followed by oil or air quenching or bath quenching at 180-220°C. The hardness after quenching is 56 HRC.
