borgo del mandoloA tribute to Puglia and its history. In Roman times, Pliny the Elder had wonderful and special wonders in the lands that are now the provinces of Taranto and Lecce. One of the places that can be visited bears his name: the Pliniana spring. It is a huge natural cave where light enters through a small space. There is a circular sandstone wall at the entrance. What is really wonderful is that there is an almond tree growing there. It is a tree so beloved by the people of Puglia that the name of our Apulian wine is inspired by it. A lovely, full-bodied, full-bodied wine that delights you even more with every sip.

brewing process | Classic red wine brewing, soft pressing, five days fermentation. The skins are macerated for 10 days at 28°-20°C, periodically inverted and returned to extract more flavor (délesage). Aging in temperature-controlled tanks until March, followed by at least 12 months in wooden barrels; parts of the wine will then be stored for a further 3 months in new Allier and Cher oak barrels. |
