❖Specification
Zinc alloy anodeCast from high-quality zinc alloy to ensure uniform corrosion patterns, reliable electrical efficiency and long service life. Anodes are manufactured to ASTM B418 Class I standards and US MIL-A-18001K.
The protective properties of zinc anodes result from a strong negative reduction potential that is more negative than the metal it protects. Oxidants that corrode metal will oxidize the zinc anode instead of the protected metal structure, preventing the structure from corroding.
❖application:
Zinc anodes are recommended for salt water applications, with the most common use being in marine applications such as ship hulls, tanks, rudders and docks. They are also commonly used in underground storage tanks and pipelines.
Zinc anodes corrode more easily than the material they protect, carrying corrosion away from the equipment.
