Product Description
Zinc soot is zinc oxide that forms on the surface of molten zinc metal. Ash consists of powdered material (the ash itself) and irregularly shaped pieces of solid metal. There are other products known as zinc dross, zinc skim, zinc top dross, or zinc oxide. In the galvanizing industry, the term zinc dust prevails and is widely used. Zinc dust usually comes from hot-dip galvanizing or other galvanizing processes. Ash is removed from the top of the galvanizing tank by skimming or filtering. There are several major companies that process or recycle zinc ash.
Chemical properties:
- Zinc powder is insoluble in water, but soluble in acid, alkali and ammonia.
- Has a strong reducing effect, and reacts with acid or alkali to release hydrogen.
- Moisture is easy to agglomerate. It is easy to form white basic carbonate on the surface in humid air, and it is stable in dry air.
application:
