Dispersed R-80 masterbatch

Predispersion R-80 is a component of the resorcinol-formaldehyde-silica binding system. Together with a formaldehyde donor such as HEXA-80 or HMMM-65, a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin is formed during the curing process and is responsible for the bonding of rubber to textiles and steel wire ropes. The system is suitable for bonding all types of rubber to reinforcing materials such as fabrics, fiberglass and metals (e.g. steel ropes)

Processing advantages

The dispersion of resorcinol in EPDM binders allows for rapid absorption and excellent dispersion in rubber. In this way, optimal activity of resorcinol is ensured.

Dispersed S-80 masterbatch

Pre-Dispersion S-80 is a vulcanizing agent for all natural and synthetic rubbers that require rapid mixing and good dispersion of the sulfur in the mixture. Due to the homogeneous dispersion in the rubber, the occurrence of localized over-cured areas is avoided, thus ensuring improved aging and dynamic fatigue properties. Good dispersion of sulfur is particularly advantageous in soft compounds, where problem-free distribution of sulfur is often difficult to obtain.

Processing advantages

The thermoplastic, highly compatible EPDM/EVA binder combined with an active dispersion accelerator allows for easier and faster incorporation into rubber mixes and excellent dispersion, ensuring optimal activity of available sulfur.

Dosage: Same number of servings. with ordinary sulfur powder

Application: Obviously suitable for soft compounds; light-coloured compounds, which must be free of sulfur stains and rubber articles which must withstand dynamic stresses.

PbO, which is generally in powder form, is difficult to disperse evenly at room temperature, resulting in a decrease in vulcanization activity and a decrease in the static mechanical properties and dynamic fatigue properties of vulcanized rubber. Our pre-dispersed PbO-80 masterbatch can be quickly added to the mixing process due to its selected particle size and pre-diffusion in ethylene propylene rubber with surfactants and dispersants, resulting in uniform dispersion and perfect activity . In addition, the PbO masterbatch is in granular form to avoid clumping.

Dispersed CaO-80 masterbatch

Dispersed CaO-80 is the desiccant provided in EPDM rubber dispersion particles. Ordinary CaO reacts by forming calcium hydroxide (Ca(H2O₂). This allows the vulcanized product to cure without pressure, which would otherwise show porosity due to the moisture still present in the compound, even when using a vacuum extruder. This is why Dispersed CaO-80 is preferred for extruded compounds that must be cured continuously in open air hot air, fluidized beds, salt baths or UHF equipment. Dispersion CaO-80 is also recommended for use in swelling compounds, especially microporous sponges, as Dispersion CaO-80 provides a more uniform cell structure.

Dispersed ZnO-80 masterbatch

Dispersion ZnO-80 is a special grade of zinc oxide especially suitable for the rubber industry. Due to its EPDM elastomer bonded form, it prevents the absorption of atmospheric moisture during storage. Extruded compounds containing dispersion ZnO-80 provide smoother profiles compared to extruded compounds containing powdered zinc oxide. This is due to the more uniform dispersion of dispersion ZnO-80. Typically there is a slight increase in modulus and tensile strength; elongation at break is also improved. Dispersion ZnO-80 prevents the thermal expansion that typically occurs when powdered zinc oxide is used in CR mixes.
