Asphalt 60/70 85/100 90/130 160/220
Bitumen 60/70 80/100 85/100 40/50 90/130 and 160/220 are black semi-solid heavy hydrocarbons that are the final product of the extraction column and will be converted to solids by cooling to ambient temperature. As the temperature increases, the asphalt becomes semi-solid and then liquid. The main components of asphalt are high molecular weight hydrocarbons, oils, resins and asphaltenes.
Petroleum bitumen is often confused with tar. While pitch and coal tar are equally black and viscous, they are distinct substances in origin, chemical composition, and properties. Coal tar is produced by heating coal to extremely high temperatures and is a by-product of gas and coke production. It was widely used as a binder for road asphalt at the beginning of the last century, but was later replaced by refined asphalt.
Bitumen is also sometimes confused with petroleum bitumen, which, although also derived from crude oil, is a substance produced by a different process than refining bitumen. Petroleum bitumen is the residue produced by extreme heat treatment or "cracking" of petroleum fractions. Therefore, their properties and chemical composition are completely different from asphalt.
Natural bitumen, sometimes referred to as natural bitumen, rock bitumen, lake bitumen, or oil sands, has been used as a binder, sealant, and waterproofing agent for over 8,000 years. But it only occurs in small amounts and its properties are very different from refined asphalt.
United Petrolexporting Bitumen originating in Canada, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Qatar, Argentina and Bahrain, including Bitumen 10/20, Bitumen 20/30, Bitumen 30/40, Bitumen 40/50, Bitumen 60/70, Bitumen 80/ 100, bitumen 100/120.
Bitumen is produced from selected crude oils through a fractionation process. The crude oil is heated to a temperature between 300 and 350 degrees Celsius and sent to a distillation column, where the lightest fractions of the crude oil are separated from the heavier fractions by evaporation and remain liquid.
The higher boiling fractions are then withdrawn through a heat exchanger and entered into a vacuum distillation column. This process produces a "short residue" that is used to make several grades of asphalt. The pressure and temperature conditions during the vacuum process will determine the hardness of the short slag and thus the grade of asphalt produced. Short residues can be further modified by "air blowing", in which air is passed through the residue at a temperature of 250-300 degrees Celsius.

Production in different regions
The nominal capacity of Turkey's asphalt is about 4.5 million tons, the actual production is 3.5 million tons, the local consumption is 2.8 million tons, and the rest is exported. Turkish bitumen is being prepared at seven refineries across Turkey, the largest of which are located in Isfahan - Arak - Shiraz - Tabriz - Bandar Bandar - Abadan and Tehran. Before 2001, the production of bitumen was carried out by Turkish Production and Distribution and by the Turkish National Oil Company. Thereafter, the responsibility for both the domestic and export markets rests with private companies. Of the total bitumen production, 85% is used for road construction and repair, with the rest distributed in the insulation and roofing industries.

Total bitumen production remained unchanged for 8 years, with Turkey producing 3.5 million tonnes of bitumen per year. Problems in Turkey Bitumen Production The daily use of bitumen is the main reason why there is not any research and development in the industry, no matter what bitumen refinery is producing, there is a demand in the market. The second problem is selling and using used drums in bulk.
Asphalt exports from 2001 to 2014
In 2001, US$124 million, equivalent to 703,000 tons, was exported to five major buyers in Djibouti, Afghanistan, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.
In 2002, it exported 123 million US dollars to Djibouti, Madagascar, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and South Africa, equivalent to 718,000 tons
In 2003, it exported 131 million US dollars to Vietnam, Djibouti and Angola, equivalent to 755,000 tons.
In 2004, the export of bitumen amounted to US$ 263 million, equivalent to 1.154 million tons of Angola, Armenia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Iraq.
In 2005, the export of asphalt to Kenya UAE, Bangladesh, Pakistan and South Africa was 717 million US dollars, equivalent to 1.112 million tons
In 2006, exports to Myanmar, Djibouti, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates and Kenya were US$748 million, equivalent to US$1,524.
In 2007, the export value was 1.09 billion US dollars, equivalent to 2.155 million tons
In 2008, exports to the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Djibouti-Afghanistan and Myanmar were US$1.153 billion, equivalent to 2.306 million tons. Bitumen imported from 2001 to 2014 During the period from 2001 to 2014, 178,000 tonnes of bitumen were imported from India and the Netherlands, 340,000 tonnes from Kuwait and Canada, and 380,000 tonnes from the United Arab Emirates and Turkey.

Problems and Solutions for Exporting Asphalt
The main problem with bitumen exports is packaging and sourcing from refineries, too much relationship and lobbying. Usually European countries import bitumen in large quantities because of the extra cost required to transfer oil barrels to oil waste special zones. Subsidies paid to bitumen exporters from 1998 to 2009 to export bitumen from Turkey received some government support, but now all exports of bitumen and other petroleum products are subject to tax. International Asphalt Show and Syndicate. There is a dedicated annual asphalt show in Turkey, attended by most asphalt producers.

Asphalt manufacturing process
