Tanqueray Gin is a traditional British brand, founded in Bloomsbury, London, in 1830 by Charles Tanqueray. Today, the gin is popular all over the world, especially as part of a long drink. Tanqueray Gin is an integral part of many drinks and cocktails in America.

It was also exported very quickly, especially to the British colonies. In this way, Tanqueray Gin quickly conquered the world from London.

Upon the death of the company founder, Charles Waugh Tanqueray (son of Charles Tanqueray) inherited the company. Tanqueray Gin later became a popular brand in the US as well. The winery was almost completely destroyed in a German air raid in 1941, with only one boiler remaining intact, which is still in use today. The distillery has been redeveloped at its new site in Cameron Bridge, Scotland. Tanqueray Gin is still produced in Scotland today.
