Product Description
Silica fume, also known as silicon powder or micro silica, is a by-product of the production of silicon metal or ferrosilicon alloy. Silicon metal and alloys are produced in electric furnaces. The raw materials are quartz, coal and wood chips. Collect the smoke generated by the furnace operation and sell it as silicon powder. Silicon powder is mainly composed of amorphous (amorphous) silicon dioxide (SiO2), with an average particle size of 0.15~0.20um and a specific surface area of 15000~20000m2/kg. Has extremely strong surface activity.
