Product Description
Expanded perlite is a white granular material with honeycomb structure made from perlite ore after preheating and instantaneous high temperature roasting. The principle is: the perlite ore is crushed to form ore of a certain particle size. After preheating and roasting, rapid heating (above 1000 ℃), the water in the ore evaporates, softening the internal expansion of the vitreous ore, forming a porous structure, and the volume expansion is not. 10-30 times that of metallic minerals. Perlite is divided into three forms according to its expansion technology and use: open cell, closed cell, and balloon.

Applications
1. Horticultural applications In horticultural applications, perlite is used worldwide as an ingredient in soilless growing mixes, which provide ventilation and optimal moisture retention, thereby promoting plant growth. Other horticultural applications for perlite are as a carrier for fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides and for seed pelleting. 2. Building applications Perlite is widely used as a loose-fill insulation material in masonry buildings. Other architectural applications include chimney lining, underfloor insulation, drywall, paint textures, ceiling tiles and roof insulation, to name a few. 3. Industrial applications range from high performance fillers for plastics to cement for oil, water and geothermal wells
