Puer Brick Tea

The taste of Pu-erh tea
The brewed fermented Pu-erh tea is dark red in color, with a rough and earthy taste. For best brewing results, use boiling water. Unlike most other teas, Pu-erh tea is usually purchased in a compressed state rather than loose leaf form. During processing into various shapes, the leaves are pressed together. The "tea bricks" that were once used as currency are usually made from Pu'er tea. You simply scrape some tea leaves off the brick or ball and put them in the teapot. Unfermented Pu-erh tea has a distinctive smoky flavor. It has a darker brew color than green tea. With newer raw Pu-erh, you may experience a slightly bitter or grassy taste when your tongue first encounters the tea. However, the bitterness dissipates quickly, turning into a subtly sweet flavor that coats your mouth, especially after an infusion as the taste and aroma change.The raw material is big-leaf sun-dried green tea from Menghai, Yunnan. The strips are dense, uniform in thickness, and brown in color; the aroma is old, the soup color is dark red and bright, the taste is mellow, full and three-dimensional, the tea flavor is thick and smooth, and the liver color at the bottom of the leaves is white. The meat is tender and uniform, the bottom of the leaf is full of vitality, the cooked bricks are low-fermented, and the heap taste is clear. It can be called a classic success.
