Graphite crucible

A crucible is a container used to hold molten metal in a furnace, and it needs to withstand the extreme temperatures encountered when melting metal. The crucible material must have a melting point much higher than that of the metal being melted, and must have good strength even at white heat.

Graphite crucibles can withstand high temperatures and have good resistance to chemical attack and thermal shock. Especially graphite crucibles are ideal for melting aluminum, copper and other metals.

Quartz crucible has the advantages of high purity, high temperature resistance, large volume, good heat preservation, energy saving, and stable quality.

Fused silica crucibles are used in the manufacture of metallic silicon for semiconductor wafer applications and polysilicon. To produce high-quality wafers, starting materials are added to crucibles heated to high temperatures, and single crystals are pulled from the melt. Fused silica is one of the few materials that can combine the high purity and high temperature properties required for this process.
