Guided by ArturoRossi, direct heir of the founders,and by his son Nicola,Rossi d'Angera can boast an annual production of 150,000 bottles of the highest quality:grppas,gin,vermouth,bitters and other liqueurs exported mostly in Italy and,to a lesser extent-about 20% to Germany,Belgium,Spain,Switzerland,GreatBritain,Austria,Canada,North America and Australia.Our spirits enclose a very high quality craftsmanship and a long history of Italian excellence handed down from six generations of distillers, since 1847.Rossi d'Angera has always been committed to spreading the culture of"drinkingwell",i.e. drinking high quality Italian products, that's why it uses raw materials coming from the province of Varese: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Chardonnay, Vespolina, Croatina, Uva Rara, Bussanello and Merlot grapes grown on so-called "Ronchi", the typical terraces of the area, defining the protected local geographical indication (IGT).High quality pomaces,flawless distillation processes and a long standing experience are among the ingredients of our grappas.A wide range of products,going from young grappas to aged and long-aged grappas, vintage grappas from1988,1990,1998,and 2005 years,single-varietal pinot,chardonnay,Nebbiolo and Moscato."In order to taste a grappa,eyes,nose and mouth are needed to carry out the visual,olfactory and gustatory analysis",explains Arturo Rossi.Gin,Vermouth,Bitter and the original Spitz,an aperitif obtained from gentian and herb infusions,are the main protagonists of our cocktail list,perfect for any occasion.Obtained from water-alcohol infusions of medicinal herbs,roots or top-quality fruit,our liqueurs are an invitation to give a unique taste to every special moment."Amaro" is one of the oldest recipe of our distillery.We produce them with thirty alpine herbs, collected among those growing in our Pre-Alps region.Rossi d'Angera Distillery is one among the few Italian companies who can boast the acknowledgment of the reached excellence : the Royal House Patent, given by King Emanuele III to Cav. Arturo Rossi on September 30th 1931.In 2013 Grappa Riserva Personale has been officially included within the agribusiness basket of the Lombardy Region. Among the other awards and acknowledgments: 18 "Alambicchi d'oro", 4 Gold Medals,7 "Alambicchi d'oro del Garda" and 6 "Acqua Vite d'Oro" honors.
