Thermostable phytase is a highly efficient 6-phytase. Feed ingredients contain large amounts of phosphates. However, the phosphorus in plant phosphates is generally more difficult to digest than the inorganic phosphorus added to the diet. TTX thermostable phytase can significantly break down phosphate, releasing plant phosphorus, reducing feed costs and environmental impact.

Activity definition: One phytase activity unit (U) is defined as the amount of enzyme that releases 1 µmol of inorganic phosphorus from a 5.0 mmol/L sodium phytate solution per minute at pH 5.5 and 37°C.
