Product Description
The Tricolor Extra Range Protein Marker is a ready-to-use tricolor protein standard containing 13 prestained proteins covering an additional molecular weight range from 10 to 310 kDa in Tris-Glycine buffer (9 to 290 kDa) Tris (MOPS) buffer and 10 to 290 kDa in Bis-Tris (MES) buffer). When separated on SDS-PAGE in Tris-Glycine buffer, proteins are covalently coupled to a blue chromophore, except for three reference bands (one green and two red bands at 25 kDa and 75, 310 kDa, respectively ). The 3-color Extra Range Protein Marker is designed to monitor protein separation during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verify protein transfer efficiency on membranes (nitrocellulose, PVDF, or nylon), and approximate protein size. The marker is provided in gel loading buffer ready to use. Do not heat, dilute or add reducing agent prior to loading.

The concentration of each protein in the buffer was approximately 0.1–0.4 mg/ml (20 mM Tris-phosphate, pH 7.5, 25°C), 2% SDS, 0.2 mM dithiothreitol, 3.6 M urea, and 15% ( v/v) glycerin)
Under the recommended conditions, the 3-color Extra Range Protein Marker resolves 13 major bands in 12% SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer) and after western blotting on nitrocellulose membranes.
